Sarah F. Burke, Esq., formerly Sarah B. Haley, Esq. is the Founder and President of Burke Estate and Tax Law, L.L.C. Ms. Burke provides wealth transfer, estate, tax and asset protection planning services to meet the planning needs of the Firm’s clients. Ms. Burke’s tax and estate planning expertise and background allow her to provide clients with expert advice and sophisticated planning strategies on every aspect of their planning needs.
Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Burke served a two year appointment as attorney advisor to the Chief Special Trial Judge of the United States Tax Court in Washington, D.C. Prior to the opening of the Firm in 2011 (formerly The Haley Law Group, LLC), Ms. Burke was employed by TIAA-CREF as a Wealth Planning Specialist, where she provided detailed analysis, review and insight into complex estate planning for high net worth clients. In Ms. Burke’s extensive career as a tax and estate attorney, Ms. Burke has concentrated her areas of expertise in complex estate planning, including asset protection strategies, international taxation, business succession planning, estate administration, tax transactional matters, and planning for special needs beneficiaries.
Ms. Burke received her LL.M. (Master of Laws) in Taxation from Boston University School of Law in 1998; her Juris Doctor from Widener University School of Law in 1997; and her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Rutgers University in 1994. Ms. Burke was named by South Jersey Magazine as one of South Jersey’s Top Attorneys in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014. She has been recognized as one of the 2014 America’s Most Honored Professionals. She has also been awarded the 2015 Five Star Estate Planning Award.
Ms. Burke is admitted to the New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania state bars, as well as being admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and United States Tax Court.
